Brooks said that Al will not be lonely because he's in heaven and heaven is everywhere.
He also said that it's almost my turn to go to heaven because I'm almost 100, like Heffie.
The story of Father's mustache is marvelous:
I walked in one day and remarked immediately, 'What, are you growing a mustache?' and he laughed... neither Dot or Susan had noticed. I think he was waiting to see how long it would take far-sighted people to remark on it! Also, I felt he did as a kind of remembrance of Phil, who sported one most of our married years.-marcie
