Marcie's Wedding

At the altar; Al is standing behind Marcie during vows.

I was so pleased to be able to have my wedding at my parents new home on Washington Rd. in 1970. My Father was always a Phil supporter, and his kindness and generosity during Phil's declining health enabled me to be strong when I had to. In his last month, he often spoke of his love for Phil and I shared with him how important his affection was to Phil, who had a tenuous relation with his father, who died the day of this photo.

Lisa's first wedding

Katie's wedding (1996)

Al with Lisa and Erma

Unknown Party at 482 Washington Rd.

La, Sara on Erma's Lap, Katie on Roie's lap, Ted with his Mom Susan, Al. Standing are Lisa, someone? and Marcie.

Katie writes: I think [this party is in] 1974 (Sara actually has hair). And I think I really remember that guy-Maurice, Lisey's boyfriend? I'll bet this is a Thanksgiving photo at Roie and Al's (isn't that the front door that leads to Roie Field?)I'd say we were watching TV but that isn't where the TV was. I think Larry is doing a magic trick.

Ted A adds: See the smoke rising from the middle of the table? There is a candle there. This was Larry's trick of wetting his fingers and extinguishing a candle. He would also wave napkins through the flame so quickly it would not burn. Later Katie tried this at Ellis St. and it caught on fire and someone had to put it out with a glass of milk!
